Our saint for today is St. Edmund, from England of course. He lived from 841-869; he was a king and died a martyr. All we know about Ed is that he grew up a Catholic and was captured in a battle with the Vikings. He refused to renounce his faith and was scourged, shot with arrows, and beheaded. Tomorrow, Nov. 21, is the feast of the Presentation of Mary in the temple in Jerusalem. This is a big feast in the Eastern Orthodox Church. There is nothing in the New Testament about this but tradition has carried it forward. Sunday, Nov. 22, is the feast of St. Cecelia, a virgin and martyr in the early Catholic Church, patroness of singers and musicians.
Mr. Shanks has a free microwave for the first person who tells him they want it.
Kaitlyn Barrett, Allie Bianchi, Michael Doster, and Christian Gargano, please see Mrs. Champa.
There are items/messages in the office for the following students: Jenny Kern, Mackenzie Kelso, Jared Prebeck, Mason Waddell, Jacob Winge, Tristen Hinds
Today’s Lyrics
“Never been awake
Never seen a day break
Leaning on my pillow in the morning
Lazy day in bed
Music in my head
Crazy music playing in the morning light
Ho, ho, ho
It’s magic, you know
Never believe it’s not so
It’s magic, you know
Never believe it’s not so”
Pilot - “Magic”
